Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe is from a multi-cultural family. Born within South London. Her mother and father were both English. Her family was on the south London Council Estate. She went to The Brit School aged 14. She was a student at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London in which she earned an BA in acting. She appeared in many stages during her high time at school, including the stage productions King Henry V and Wuthering Heights.
Madekwe first began her acting career with Storm Damage. She's appeared as a guest in Teachers Doctors Casualty Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe made her debut motion picture role in the Woody Allen movie Cassandra's Dream, opposite Colin Farrell and Ewan McGregor. Following that success, she played Elisha in the one-off BBC Three drama pilot West 10 LDN which aired in 2007 and she also appeared in the six episodes of Trexx as well as Flipside in the role of Ollie. The ITV2 series Secret Diary of a Call Girl featured her in 2008 playing Bambi. Madekwe was a part of the comedy film How to Lose Friends & Get People to Leave. She also appeared on the screen in Little Sweet Thing, by Roy Williams, and Flight Path which was written by David Watson.
Madekwe was officially introduced to her US debut with The Beautiful Life in 2009. The show ran just two episodes at The CW, and was later removed from the air. Ashley Davenport, a character in ABC's Revenge drama series was cast for her as Ashley Davenport. Madekwe was a regular on the drama series on ABC Revenge for two seasons. It was revealed in May 2013 that she would leave the series after making an appearance in the first episode of season three. The actress portrayed Tituba in the television series Salem from 2014 to 2016. Madekwe was married to her long-time love, Iddo. In addition to Secret Diary of a Call Girl they also appeared together on Salem and Iddo Goldberg had an appearance with her on the show on TV.
Ashley Leggat grew up in Hamilton Ontario and was a part of a large family. Ashley Leggat joined Roy and Patty along with her three older siblings, Brett, Todd and Bram and Rob. Ashley's brothers were all extremely athletic, and they played baseball as well as hockey in the winter and summer months. They grew up playing stadiums and played baseball. Ashley could not walk but was able to dance. This led to the fact that when she turned 2 She discovered Baby Ballet. Ashley discovered her love for dance when she was just a few years old. Ashley performed in competitive tap, jazz and ballet in the high divisions. Ashley took home the best soloist prize at each major dance event, such as International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers, 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance among the few.
