Adele

AdeleAdele Mara (April 28, 1923 until May 7, 2010 in the USA) was an American performer and actress. She appeared in films in the 1940s and 1950s[2] as well as on television in the 1950s and 1960s. Adele St. Mara was her name professionally. She received the Columbia Pictures contract [citation required.The company also gave her experience in the studio's comedy shorts and "B" films. The title was later changed to Adele Mara. Mara was receptionist in Three Stooges' film I Can Hardly Wait. Mara Brooks and Leslie Brooks were the sisters of Rita Hayworth in the Fred Astaire film You Were Never Lovelier. She is the character Alias Boston Blackie (1942) in the role of the sister of an unjustly accused and released prisoner. When her Columbia contract expired in 1942, she moved to Republic Pictures, where she became a fixture in their westerns and outdoor adventures. [citation needed] She starred in The Vampire's Ghost, Wake of the Red Witch starring John Wayne, Angel In Exile (leading woman), Sands of Iwo Jima in which John Agar's love interestwas played by her, California Passage, and Don Siegel's Count the Hours.
